2009 British Composer Award Winner!

I am very pleased to announce that I am the winner of a 2009 British Composer Award in the Making Music Category, for my chamber orchestra piece The Serious Side of Madness. The awards ceremony took place on 1 December at the Law Society, Chancery Lane, London and was subsequently broadcast on BBC Radio 3.

The Serious Side of Madness was written for the Kensington Chamber Orchestra as part of the Sound and Music/Making Music 'Adopt a Composer' project, funded by the PRSF, and was premiered in June 2008. The piece has since been performed by the BBC Philharmonic and has been broadcast twice on BBC Radio 3.
